Artemis Potamianou is an artist and curator who is currently based in Athens.
Potamianou has had (27) one-person exhibitionsat 7 countries between them at Borough Museum and Art Gallery (Newcastle), at Hellenic American Union (Athens), at MAC (Midlands Art Center of Birmingham), at Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete (Rethymno), at Dienstgebaude Art Space Zurich (Zurich), at Hellenic Centre Centre (London), at ENIA Gallery (Athens), at ID:I Galleri, (Stockholm), etc
She has participated in more than 185 group shows in 22 countries. Her work has been presented in international exhibitions – biennales, such as at BIDA – Biennale of Spain (Greek Representation with the funding and patronage of the Ministry of the Interior), at 15th Architecture Biennale of Venice, at 1st and 4th Biennale of Thessaloniki, the 3rd Biennale of Athens, at Biennale Internazionale Dell’ Arte Contemporanea (Florence), at Open 15 – International Exhibition, Lido and San Servolo in Venice, at 11th Biennale of Young Creators, Athens etc.

Potamianou completed her BA(FA) at the School of Fine Art (Athens) in 1997, and has subsequently received an MA degree from the Staffordshire University.
She has curated more than 60 exhibitions of important artists of international scene. She has curated exhibitions of Joseph Kosuth, Damien Hirst ,Joseph Beuys, Terry Atkinson, Peter Greenaway, Candice Brietz, Guerrilla Girls, etc. and many other exhibitions in Institutes, museums and independent exhibitions spaces.
Potamianou is the founder and Director of Platforms Project– Independent Art Fair.
Potamianou was the radio presenter and producer of Art Therapy, a radio talk-show about visual art at Beton7 radio from 2011 to 2020.
She is on the board of AICA HELLAS (International Association of Art Critics). She was Treasurer of AICA HELLAS (2015-2021), President of AICA HELLAS (2021-2023), and since 2023 she is member-Advisor.
Potamianou has written 40 essays for exhibition catalogs and books. She has participated in many conferences and seminars and has held lectures and workshops.
Her works are in the permanent collection of EMST, the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, the State Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete, the Benetton Foundation, etc. and in private collections in Greece, the USA, Canada, England, Italy, Israel, Belgium, Sweden etc.

Σπούδασε στην Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας (BA) και στο Staffordshire University (MA).
Έχει επιμεληθεί 60 εκθέσεις σημαντικών εικαστικών καλλιτεχνών της διεθνούς σκηνής, που χρησιμοποιούν εκτενώς στο έργο τους στοιχεία του λόγου, της γλώσσας και πολιτικής σκέψης ανάμεσα τους, του Joseph Kosuth, Joseph Beuys, του Damien Hirst, του Terry Atkinson, του Peter Greenaway, της Candice Brietz, των Guerrilla Girls, Mark Titchner κα και πολλές ομαδικές εκθέσεις σε μουσεία, ιδρύματα, γκαλερί και εναλλακτικούς χώρους.
Η Ποταμιάνου είναι η ιδρύτρια και διευθύντρια του Platforms Project – Independent Art Fair.
Ήταν ραδιοφωνική παραγωγός της εκπομπής για τα εικαστικά Art Therapy, από το 2011 μέχρι το 2020.
Από το 2015 είναι εκλεγμένο μέλος στο Δ.Σ. της AICA HELLAS (Ελληνικό Τμήμα της Διεθνούς Ένωσης Κριτικών Τέχνης), από το 2015-21 ως Ταμίας, από το 2021 εώς το 2023 ήταν η Πρόεδρος και από το 2023 ως μέλος-Σύμβουλος.
Έχει γράψει 40 κείμενα για καταλόγους εκθέσεων και βιβλία. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά συνέδρια και ημερίδες και έχει πραγματοποιήσει διαλέξεις και workshops.
Έργα της υπάρχουν στην μόνιμη συλλογή του ΕΜΣΤ, του Μακεδονικού Μουσείου Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, του Κρατικού Μουσείου Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Θεσσαλονίκης, του Μουσείου Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Κρήτης, του Benetton Foundation, κ.α. και σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές στην Ελλάδα, στις Η.Π.Α., στο Καναδά, την Αγγλία, την Ιταλία, το Ισραήλ, το Βέλγιο, τη Σουηδία κ.α.
